“The fox is lying on his back, with his paws up in the air, pretending to be dead, whilst two unsuspecting birds approach, one placing its head within the fox’s jaws.” Animalia is a sound tale about origins, nature and the human obsession with approaching living beings, categorising them, naming them and studying their behaviours. Questioning the anthropocentric representation of the animal and its depiction through the ages, from the fabulating descriptions of the Middle Ages Bestiaries until Mickey Mouse’s adventures.
